Paula
Harvey is the President of her Human Resources consulting company,
K&P Consulting. Her company provides consulting in Human Resources
and Safety, including recruitment, legal compliance, and training.
Mrs. Harvey has worked for over 23 years as a Human Resources
Generalist. She earned her Bachelor’s of Business Administration in
International Marketing and Operations Management from the
University of Texas at Austin. She has also earned her Master’s
degree in Human Resources Management from UNC Charlotte. She is a
nationally certified HR and Safety Professional and instructs at
many institutions of higher learning. Mrs. Harvey has spoken on many
subjects in the HR arena. She is an active member of the Society for
Human Resources Management (SHRM) serving as the NCSHRM
Director-Elect and President of the Union County HR Association. She
has also served on SHRM’s Health, Safety and Security Panel, CASHRM
Past-President, and as the NC SHRM State Conference Chair. She has
been a long-term volunteer for the American Red Cross as a disaster
and health education instructor. She was awarded the NCSHRM HR
Professional of the Year for 2004 and the 2009 York County SHRM HR
Consultant of the Year award.

Brad
Wallace is currently with Standard Register serving as an
Organizational Effectiveness Consultant for the Manufacturing
Organization. Prior to his current role, Mr. Wallace first served as
HR Administrator, and later, Regional HR Manager supporting 13
locations across three business units. Mr. Wallace has also held HR
positions of increasing responsibility with Family Dollar Stores.
Brad earned his Bachelor of Science in Management Information
Systems from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2001 and is currently
pursuing his Master of Science in Human Resources from Western
Carolina University. Brad was a 2009 recipient of the Barbara
Sanchez/SHRM Foundation Academic Scholarship and has spoken to
numerous academic and civic organizations on topics such as
Behavioral Event Interviewing, Union Avoidance Strategies and
Conflict Management for Front Line Supervisors. Brad is a Charter
Member of UCHRA and has been a member of the UCHRA board since 2007.
He currently holds his PHR Certification.

Veronica McKinney is the Human Resources/Health, Safety &
Environmental Manager for Goulston Technologies, Inc. She earned
her BS in Biology from East Carolina University and AAS in
Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Technology from
CPCC.

Robert is the Human
Resources Manager for Darnel, Inc. a foam food packaging plant with
locations in Monroe, NC and Miami, FL. With the US corporate
headquarters located in Monroe, Darnel, Inc. is part of a larger
world-wide organization, Ajover, S.A., specializing in a variety of
plastics manufacturing.
Prior to joining Darnel
in December 2006 and Robert served as the Corporate Human Resources
Manager for an audio/video manufacturer and distributor in Fort
Mill, SC where he served over 17 years.
Robert received his
Master in Business Administration, in 2001, from the McColl School
of Business in Charlotte, NC and received his SPHR certification in
January 2006.

John is Vice President of Benefit
Controls of the Carolinas, Inc. Benefit Controls, established in
1979, provides creative and cost-effective business solutions for
companies in the areas of Human Resources, Employee Communications,
Employee Benefits, Wellness Programs, and Strategic Planning. John
has been in the field of employee benefits for more than 30 years
and focuses on client centered business solutions with a
concentration in financial analysis of plan performance and employee
management. John is a graduate of the
University
of Iowa with a
Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance. He also holds
the Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) designation from the
American
College.

Janet has been in the Human Resources field for 25 years
and a member of SHRM for 20 years. She attained her
SPHR certification in 1992. Janet has worked
in manufacturing and telecommunications industries at
the management level and has strong generalist
experience. She is also the Vice Chair of the
Centralina Workforce Development Board and a member of
the Workforce Readiness Committee representing the Union
County private sector. Janet is very excited about
being part of the establishment of a SHRM chapter in
Union County.

Past President
Yvonne is the Regional Operations Manager over 20 locations in North
Carolina for Adecco Employment Services. She has been a strategic
resource for her clients in the arena of recruitment and contingent
workforce programs. Her area of focus with Adecco is operational
excellence in contractual compliance, customer service and strategic
partnering as it pertains to service delivery to clients from the
field branches she oversees. Yvonne has been recognized by the
American Staffing Association as a Certified Staffing Professional.
She is also a member in many associations including: American
Staffing Association, Society for Human Resource
Management, Charlotte Area SHRM, and Union County Human Resources
Association.
She
serves the profession and the associations by volunteering for different
committees, such as 2007 Southeast HR Games, 2008 NC State Conference,
2007 VP of Membership and 2008 First VP for UCHRA, 2009 UCHRA President,

- College Relations
Julie Broome is the Assistant Personnel Director for Union County Local
Government. Her primary responsibilities include management of the
County’s employee relations and employee development programs. Julie
previously worked in the recruitment and staffing industry for 8 years.
She earned her BA from UNC Charlotte and is PHR certified. Member of
SHRM, IPMA, and Union County Human Resources Association.

Kevin Dalton is a
partner in the Charlotte office of Fisher & Phillips LLP, one of the oldest and largest firms in the country which limits its practice to the representation of management in the areas of labor, employment, employee benefits and immigration law. Kevin has handled administrative charges and lawsuits involving wrongful discharge, Title VII, ADA, ADEA, ERISA, FMLA, FLSA, unemployment compensation, and breach of contract. Kevin has assisted employers in remaining non-union by providing advice on employee relations, responding to unfair labor practice charges, and participating in representation campaigns.
Prior to joining the firm, Kevin served four years as a Captain in the Army's Judge Advocate General's Corps at Fort Hood, Texas. For the final two years of his military service, Kevin prosecuted soldiers for violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
Kevin also defended the United States Army in claims alleging discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and other unlawful employment practices for the post's 4,500 member civilian workforce.

In 1994, Bill co-found and manages a human resource consulting firm
specializing in Corporate Outplacement (individual and group), Private
Career Transition, Leadership Development, Executive and Individual
Coaching, and Training. Bill’s volunteer service includes: an active
member of Charlotte SHRM where he has served as First VP and 2007
President, member of the State SHRM Council – Awards and Recognition
Chair – 2006-2007 and Diversity Chair – 2009-2010; an active member of
the Charlotte Chamber Manufacturers Council since 1995; and current
Board member; prior Board member, Charlotte Mecklenburg Personnel

Kendra Dodd is the
Manager of Human Resources Services for The Employers Association.
The Employers Association is a member-based organization that serves
as a knowledgeable and trusted resource to meet the comprehensive
human resource and training needs of more than 860 organizations in
the greater Charlotte area. Kendra is responsible for
conducting management, leadership, and human resources training
classes. She provides human resources advice and consulting for
members, as well as handles member relations concerns. Kendra’s
background includes more than thirteen years in human resources
management, training and development, labor and employee relations
in manufacturing and non-manufacturing environments. Kendra has
served in a variety of human resources, management and supervisory
roles with companies across the northwest and along the east coast.
Kendra is a native of South Carolina. She received her B.S. in
Industrial Technology and Master’s in Human Resource Development
from Clemson University. Along with her formal education, Kendra is
a certified DDI Trainer and is a certified a Senior Professional in
Human Resources (SPHR).
